AENOR recognises ELT as a 'Customer testing facilities - Stage 1' laboratory

Monday, 22 October, 2018

AENOR has approved the ELT Laboratory as an affiliate of its “Customer Testing Facility (CTF) - Stage 1”, for IEC standards IEC 61347-1:2015, IEC 61347-2-13:2014+AMD:2016 and IEC 62384:2006+AMD1:2009 with reference to the safety and operating requirements for control gear.

Affiliation to this system allows manufacturers to undertake testing under the control of the certifying body at their own laboratories so that the tests can be used to achieve the corresponding certifications. The initial audit was performed by technicians from the Official Central Laboratory of Electrotechnology (LCOE), on behalf of AENOR, based on international documents IECEE OD-248 and ETICS OD-ECS 032 in accordance with the IEC System of Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components (IECEE).

It is worth noting that, apart from the ELT laboratory, only nine Spanish laboratories have achieved this recognition, including household names such as BSH Electrodomésticos and Schneider Electric.

ELT has already been listed on the IECEE web page as an affiliated company.
