Sunday, 1 September, 2013
After 25 years at the heart of the ELT Group, Antonio Vázquez has been appointed adviser of the Board of Management meaning that he will vacate his current post this September as its General Manager which he has held for the past five years.

Antonio Vázquez has also held the post of financial manager of ELT (1988-2003) and was Managing Director of another company in the Group (2004-2008) before being named General Manager of the ELT Group in 2008.

Throughout his time at the head of the company, Mr. Vázquez has carried out his work with great enthusiasm and dedication, successfully tackling the difficult situation faced by the Spanish economy and the lighting sector in general.

Worthy of special mention is the fact that Mr. Vázquez, in close collaboration with the board of Management, has unceasingly committed himself to the development of top quality technological products carrying the 'MADE IN SPAIN' marking. This strategy has proven successful and has led the company to being considered as a national reference point in the market. So much so, that in recent years ELT has implemented structural and technological changes in order to position itself as the leading Spanish manufacturer of both, high quality electronic and magnetic, ballasts, drivers and LED strips.

As of this September, José Miguel Laborda, erstwhile Financial Manager of GRUPO ELT and ELT Deputy Chief Executive Officer, will head ELT as its new General Manager.

Mr. Laborda has been with ELT for 6 years, during which time he has been in charge of managing the finances and IT of many of the companies of the group. Moreover, he was awarded the 2011 ADEA Prize in the "Best Financial Management in Aragon" category.

As a result of his promotion, Felipe Fabana, who joined the company a few months ago, and who has extensive professional experience in the field of economics, will occupy Mr. Laborda's position as Financial Manager of ELT.

Mr. Fabana was hailed in July this year as one of the 100 best financial minds in Spain (with the company Ekoalfa 4) by the financial journal, "Actualidad Económica".

From ELT we wish them all the very best for the new professional phase on which they are about to embark.
