Following our innovative spirit we keep on growing, fostering technological changes and integrating new efficient processes while being committed to the environment.

This proactive environmental commitment is corroborated by the following milestones:

Since 1980 ELT has manufactured energy saving control gears in street lighting for low traffic periods. The system is called 2P Bi-Power. The energy saving is possible with High Pressure Sodium lamps, dimmable Metal Halide lamps and Mercury Vapour lamps. Hundreds of thousands of these control gears have been installed satisfactorily during this period in Spain, Latin American and North African countries.

With great vision we started designing and manufacturing our first electronic ballast in 1991.

Since 1994 has had a stake in "Electronica Cerler", a company specialising in power electronics for home appliances and lighting.

   
         
   
And has always been mindful of future trends in the industry and aware of the importance of specialization, as its name suggests, created in 2002 a new company "Electronica de Balastos, S. L.", ELB, also located in Zaragoza - Spain dedicated exclusively to the design and manufacturing of electronic auxiliary equipment for lighting. ELB has gathered a professional team and latest generation productive equipment. It has had its management system certified according to UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2000 since 2003.

Currently, ELB designs and produces 200 electronic product references: electronic ballasts for fluorescence and discharge lamps, transformers for LV halogen lamps, ignitors for HID lamps, RASE assemblies for 2P Bi-Power control gears, ARCE assemblies high power factor control gears, …

The 31 December 2009 "Electronica de Balastos, S. L." ELB was integrated within Especialidades Luminotécnicas, S. A., in the framework of the evolution process of the latest towards electronics and energy efficiency.

ELT is committed to the preservation of the environment. From the design of products and productive equipment, to the manufacturing and sales of efficient control gears that contributes to energy consumption reduction without loosing functionality. ELT also has a special concern with regards to energy resources and material management. With the certification of its Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001, the company has been recognized for its constant innovation and positive evolution in this important issue. Through this we guarantee that ELT's processes are respectful to the environment and that we are applying improvement programmes.
